in the Rockingham County JobLink Center hosted LIEAP and CIP
Training for low income energy supervisors and Crisis Intervention
program supervisors training for the Department of Social
Services. Additions to the center include Educational Opportunity
Center, ReDirections, two new WIA staff members as well as
a psychologist from Vocational Rehabilitation providing testing
as needed for customers. Participated in many marketing efforts
including the Madison-Mayodan Christmas parade and the Rockingham
Community College Folk Festival. Conducted the orientation
for Pillowtex workers, hosted job search workshops, job and
resource fairs, chamber meetings, and shared information with
Ministerial Alliance to build awareness and support from the
faith community.
